4 Instagram Worthy Spots in Maui

Aloha babes, Kim here! It's been over a week since we got back from Maui and I'm missing it so much! Maui is honestly one of my favorite places on earth, my husband and I go there every other year. I could never tire of the slower island pace of life, the warm sunny weather, and the stunning landscapes. For this trip, we went with a few friends to celebrate my husband's 30th birthday so the vibes were super chill. Based on my recent expedition to Maui, I put together 5 locations for taking Instagram worthy photos. These spots are all relatively easy to get to and are fun spots to hang out in general. So you'll be able to get the shot, have some fun, and not annoy your friends with all your picture taking!

  1. Kamaole Beach Park III

If you're looking for one spot to take a ton of outfit photos this is the place! The park has a sandy beach with a cute buttercup yellow lifeguard stand. On the south side of the park you'll find a walking trail that has gorgeous golden grass as high as your waist! The trail leads to several look out points where you can see the waves crashing upon the rocky shore. It's pretty safe to climb out onto the rocks for photos and for turtle watching. You could easily make a day of it here - walk the trails in the morning, swim in the afternoon, and watch the sun go down behind Moloka'i in the evening.

2. Molokini Island

Okay, so you can't actually step foot on Molokini Island because it's a seabird sanctuaray. But you can take a catamaran cruise and snorkel around the island. For us photo enthusiasts, snorkeling means one thing - cool underwater pics! I don't own an underwater camera, but I was able to rent one for $65 through our sailing company Alii Nui. They also provide breakfast, lunch, and an open bar so of course it's a super fun activity that I highly recommend!

3. Papawi Lookout

You can’t miss this look out on the way to Lahaina. Papawai has the most stunning views. Set high above the sea you have an amazing vantage point and in the evenings the setting sun casts a gorgeous golden yellow light over everything.

4. Maluaka Beach

Do not ask me how to pronounce the name of this beach, just know that it's my favorite beach in all of Maui. The Maui Beach & Golf Resort used to be just behind this beach - it's now under construction to build what I can only assume will be luxury condos - a few years ago I had the most relaxing beach side massage there. This year, we saw a turtle swimming at the beach. Literally you could have reached out and touched it, it was that close to everyone! I swear, something magical happens every time I'm at this beach! Just to the right of the beach entrance is a large tree that juts out over the water. The tree is sturdy enough to sit on for a really dramatic photo that looks like you are just hovering over the water. I'm not all that good at balancing so all my photos looked awkward. But leaning on the tree's lower branch makes for a cute pic too!
