About 6 or so months ago, we both made the move to eating mostly vegan, plant based meals. For our personal health and for the health of the planet. Eating out can be a bit of a struggle, especially if you're like us and your husband/s.o. doesn't follow the same diet. Which is why we're sharing our favorite vegetarian restaurants here in Seattle. These are great places to celebrate Valentine's Day or for a regular night out. And don't worry, even your non vegan date will love the food!

Cafe Flora, Madison Valley
This restaurant is a long standing gem in the Madison Valley neighborhood. Dining in their atrium filled with plants feels like going on a tropical vacation. Most of their food is sourced from local farms and neighborhood suppliers, so you know its fresh! Our favorite dish is hands down the Mushroom French Dip (no cheese) with yam fries. Whatever they put in the au jus is delectable!

Plum Bistro, Capitol Hill
The perfect spot for an intimate dinner. The menu draws flavors from the PNW and is completely vegan. We tried the Black Truffle Gnocci, and it gave us all the cheesy flavored goodness we'd been missing. Don't skip out on the cocktails too! They have some really inventive ones on the menu.

No Bones Beach Club, Ballard
We were a little unsure about the tiki vibes here, but my goodness the food is so so good! A great spot if you're craving bar style food like wings and nachos. It's incredible what they can do with veggies at this place. Our standouts were the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings (so spicy, but worth it), the Amazeballs (mac and "cheese" balls that Kathleen still raves about months later), and the Crab Cake Sando (no crab, just parsnips and veggies - what?!).

Harvest Beat, Wallingford
Eating at the Harvest Beat is a complete experience. We could go on and on about how amazing dinner here is, but we'll keep it strictly to the need to know. Reservations are required and there is only one dinner service each night. The menu changes every 3 months to reflect what is fresh and seasonly available in the PNW. There are usually 4 courses, all vegan, with drink pairings if you want (and you definitely should!). It is hands down the best farm-to-table dining experience we've ever had! Prices are up there so we usually reserve this place for special occasions.
