Kathleen’s Cabo Travel Guide

Cabo isn’t just for spring breakers!

Don’t get me wrong, I like to party with the rest of them. But my college days are over. After a recent trip to Cabo San Lucas, I’ve found out that the place has a little bit of something for everyone.

Keep scrolling for my recommendations.

Where to Stay:

I stayed at Esperanza resort, part of the Auberge family. The resort was fantastic, we had our own personal concierge to help us book tours, make reservations and figure out transportation. With 4 pools and 4 restaurants, you could spend your whole vacation just on the resort!
Other hotels I considered staying at:
The Cape Hotel
Chileno Bay Resort
Hotel El Ganzo (technically in San Jose del Cabo)

Places to Eat:

Flora Farms (pictured above) was by far my favorite place to eat and was a great activity as well. This is an organic, working farm that specializes in farm to table dining. You can also tour the farm and they have multiple shops to peruse.

Other great dining options:
Mi Casa- Another farm to table restaurant offering up traditional Mexican Cuisine.
Tacos Guss- the BEST street tacos
Edith's

Best Bars:

It isn't a vacation unless there's drinking involved. Here are some of the places I liked to get a little tipsy at:
The Outpost- Owned by Flora Farms, this place has great craft cocktails. Fridays is open bar, and ladies drink "free" (300 pesos all you can drink) every night!
Rooftop bar at the Cape Hotel- great atmosphere
Cabo Wabo- need I say more

Activities:

There are so many fun things to see and do in Cabo, depending on you adventure level. I stuck with water activities since it was too hot durning our stay for me to venture into the Baja Outback. Here are some activities I really enjoyed:
El Arco (Lands End)- there are so many ways to see this landmark (kayak, paddle board, beach) we chose to take a booze cruise.
Tequila tasting- we did this through our hotel, but you could do this at any bar
Day trip to La Paz- it's about a 2hr drive from Cabo but the snorkeling and wild life is well worth it.

Of course lounging by the pool is always great too!
