Creating the Beige Bedroom of Kim’s Dreams

It's been seven months since my husband and I moved into our new house. I can't even believe it! Mostly because it feels like we've acomplished none of the projects we set out to. We do have a few half done rooms, so there's that. Our master bedroom was the first room on our list to decorate. This was going to be our one "easy" project, since we really only need to buy furniture. No contractors or renovations involved - unlike our bathrooms and kitchen. So I thought I'd share a little progress update on our bedroom to first, pat myself on the back for the little bit of work I've done - good job girl! And second, to inspire myself to finish the damn thing!

To start, here's what our bedroom looked like the day we got the house. The space is pretty huge with tall sloped ceilings and tons of natural light.

Before we moved in, we gave everything a fresh coat of white paint. We used Benjamin Moore's Decorator's white on the walls and Super White on the trim. Then we moved in all our stuff! Here's what the room looks like now.

Our bed is from Restoration Hardware - don't worry, it was a hand-me-down from our family. No way we could afford to pay RH prices haha! The rug is from Wayfair and it is soooo soft! And our white bedding is from Amazon. Those are the only pieces that are staying in the bedroom. Everything else is getting replaced! I want to keep beige color theme going in the bedroom. It feels so clean yet warm and inviting at the same time. I plan on incorporating a few touches of black and gold as well to add a little drama. If our bedroom ended up looking half as cute as these, I'd be sooo happy!
