Kim’s Honest Review of 3 Sustainable Underwear Brands

01. CUUP

Products: bras & undies
Price Range: $18 - $68
Sustainability: ethical and safe manufacturing methods, use of eco-friendly fabric like modal, size inclusive.

Here I’m wearing the Scoop Bra size 32D and  Bikini Underwear size small. Let’s start with the bra, I am not exaggerating one bit when I say this is the best fitting bra I have ever owned! This is the first bra I’ve worn where the middle section of the actually sits flat to my skin, which is a sign that the cup actually fits and conforms to your boobs. The underwire doesn’t jab me at all, my “back fat” doesn’t hang over the band, and the straps stay in place. I have ZERO complaints about this bra.

Now for the undies. The fabric is really soft, stretchy, and breathable. I love the cut of these. The v-back detail is so cute and allows me to wear these hiked up on my hips (like they did in the 80’s). However, I get wedgies wearing these a lot. I believe it’s due to the seam going down the back. But that didn’t stop me from getting 6 pairs of these (I have the high waist style as well).

02. PARADE

Products: undies only
Price Range: $9 - $13
Sustainability: use of recycled fabrics (85% recycled nylon), Oeko-Tex certified to be free of harmful chemicals, compostable packaging, size inclusive, donates to non-profits regularly.

I’m wearing the Brief in a size small here, but I also have their Thong and Boyshort style too. I’ll start with sizing. The Brief and Thong fit true to size, however, I found that the Boyshort fit big on me. The fabric is nice and soft and the band at the top is secure without being too tight, so I don’t get those unsightly bulges at the waist. The Brief and Thong are insanely comfortable, but the Boyshort gets stuck up my bum when I wear it.

Overall, I highly recommend the Brief and Thong… but not the Boyshort. And most styles are $9, making them the most affordable sustainable underwear I’ve seen!

03. HARA THE LABEL

Products: bras, undies, and lounge wear
Price Range: $35 - $75
Sustainability: uses earth friendly fabric made from organic bamboo, natural plant dyes, ethically made in Australia, profits from each sale are donated to the EJFoundation.

Here I’m wearing the Leo High Cut Bra size small and the Eva G String size small. I really don’t know how they got away with making a bra that is completely non-adjustable - but somehow it fits and is comfortable. If you need a lot of support with your bras, I wouldn’t recommend this one. But the style and colors are really cute. I’ve worn this as a top or under a blazer like it was a crop top.

Now on to the undies. I paid $35 for a thong - lol wut? I can not, in good conscience, recommend this. I can recommend the bra tho. I’m considering getting another bra (that mauve purple color is calling my name!) and the lounge pants because I can’t resist a matching lounge set.
