The Boots That Have Changed Our Rainy Day Style
We've been living in Seattle, aka Rain City USA, for over 10 years now. But for all the time we've been living here, we've never owned a single pair of rain boots! It really has been a struggle to find rain boots that match our style while still being practical. So when Cougar Shoes reached out to us to review the Kensington Boot, their best selling rain boots, we were curious to see if these would meet our exacting style standards. Here's our honest take:
Fit: We ordered our usual size 8 in these boots and the fit was just right. The elastic detail makes these shoes so easy to quickly pull on and off too.
Performance: These shoes have gone on long walks with the doggos and held up really well. We felt very comfortable the entire walk, no pinching or digging anywhere. And we never slipped a single step, even with our dogs pulling us up hills and down hills.
Style: Resembling a classic Chelsea boot, the Kensington is a rain boot that doesn't look like one! Because the styling is so understated, we're fine to wear these boots all day to work or to dinner or wherever. Instead of bringing shoes to change into once we've reached our destination, which a lot of Seattle girls do.
Final thoughts: The Kensington Boots score high for us on both style and practicality. We thought it would be so hard to work these shoes into our everyday outfits. But we've already worn them with jeans, a sweater dress, and a mini skirt with tights. When the next rainy day rolls around, we won't be wondering what to wear.
